Dover-Boulogne second ship

LD Lines have announced that they will add a second ship to the Dover - Boulogne service increasing both frequency and capacity.

From Monday 31st May 2010 the Norman Trader will join her sister ship the Norman Bridge on the cross-channel service and increase the number of sailings to seven per day in each direction. The crossing duration will remain at 1 hour 45 minutes.

Both ships can carry up to 40 freight vehicles and have high quality on-board facilities including restaurant, lounge bar and shop.

The new departure times will be as follows (all times are local):

Dover - Boulogne: 05:00, 07:00, 11:15, 13:00, 17:30, 19:15 and 23:45

Boulogne - Dover: 05:00, 09:00, 11:00, 15:15, 17:00, 21:30 and 23:30
