Freight ferries to Sweden, to Denmark or to Germany with Scandlines.

The history of Danish Scandlines can go back to 1872, but the company in its current form was founded 1998 from the merger of the German and the Danish sides. Now owned by private consortium 3i Group. Scandlines GmbH is the largest ferry operator in the southern Baltic, boasting a route network specialising in short ferry crossings linking Germany to Denmark, Germany to Sweden and Sweden to Denmark.

The ferry route from Puttgarden to Rodby sees over 50 crossings operate on a daily basis, and this can be linked with the short crossing from Helsingor to Helsingborg to create a transit ticket from Puttgarden to Helsingborg.
