Brittany Ferries

Brittany Ferries started in 1972, in the main to transport farm produce from the Brittany region of France into the United Kingdom. These links continued to mature as Brittany Ferries extended its range of services to new ports within the United Kingdom, then adding a new service into Ireland. In addition to the popularity of the growing freight markets, Brittany Ferries continued to carry an increasing number of passengers.

Today Brittany ferries operates a network of 7 routes and carries in excess of 50% of all freight and passenger traffic on the Western Channel.

Freight drivers and passengers can enjoy one of the most modern fleets of all the ferry operators in Europe. In addition, on some services Freight drivers can enjoy dedicated facilities.

Brittany ferries latest addition to the fleet, the €81MV Amorique was launched in January 2009 and now operates on the Plymouth – Roscoff route. This vessel has increased freight capacity, the standard of onboard service levels and the quality of driver facilities.
