The port of Pireaus is situated roughly 8 kilometres away from Athens city centre and is the main port in the city. It is also the biggest port in the whole of Greece and is the centre of communications for all the Greek islands. The port offers many services for travellers including ATMs, bars, banks and restaurants.
Heraklion is the capital city of Crete and contains a very busy port, with over a million travellers passing through per year. The port itself provides a range of services and facilities for passengers. There are also restaurants, hotels and shops within walking distance of the port.
