Scotland to the Orkney and Shetland Islands ferry services
Orkney, also known as the Orkney Islands, is an archipelago in northern Scotland, situated 16 kilometres (10 miles) north of the coast of Caithness. Orkney comprises approximately 70 islands of which 20 are inhabited. “Mainland” Orkney is identified as the sixth largest Scottish island. In addition to the Mainland, most of the islands are in two groups, the North and South Isles.
The Shetland Islands are located off the north-east coast of Scotland. The largest island, known as the "Mainland" is the third-largest Scottish island and the fifth-largest of the British Isles.
