Guernsey and Jersey to England ferry routes
England is situated in the central and southern areas of the United Kingdom. The country shares land borders with Scotland and Wales, which are also a part of the UK. As well as the mainland, England has over 100 smaller islands including the Isles of Scilly.
Travelling from the Channel Islands Condor Ferries offer a combination of ferry routes for customers. They provide freight and passenger services to Portsmouth (usually one conventional and one freight only service a day) from Guernsey via Jersey as well as several passenger fast ferry services to Poole (crossing time from 3 hours), and Weymouth (crossing time from 2 hours). These services to Poole and Weymouth are only available to small vehicles and are more frequent in the summer months.
Portsmouth is the second busiest ferry port in the UK after Dover, handling around three million passengers a year and has direct access to the M275. Poole is a large coastal town and seaport in the county of Dorset, on the south coast of England. Facilities at the terminal include a summer café for meals and refreshments, a bureau de change and left luggage lockers. The town of Poole is well-connected to other parts of Britain by motorways and public transport. The Port of Weymouth offers modern facilities handling both freight and passengers. Port facilities are limited to a small shop selling snacks and newspapers.
