About the position

We are a B2B business, but we like to think that we do things that a B2C company does. We call it B2B2C. There’s no reason why ferry bookings and customs clearance services can’t have the online experience you have when buying fashion and technology!

This role is paramount to our success as it plays vital part in supporting our client base with sourcing the correct information and supporting management and maintenance of the data within our bespoke back-end systems. The emphasis is on data integrity and its accuracy, completeness, consistency, validity, and timeliness.

About you

You are independent, self-starter with proven experience of supportive administration within busy and fast-paced environment who can prioritise effectively. You have exceptional commitment to detail and consistent way of getting the job done - A “get it done” attitude.

You are adaptable and resilient under pressure because we react to change very quickly. Even the weather influences what you do because customers need to be informed when a storm is brewing!

Initiative is your middle name because it is paramount to your success in this role.

Being a team player is your second nature and therefore you can add value to the team. Your ability to operate with high efficiency leads to maximum productivity and effectiveness. All this together with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel and Outlook and outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) will be the key to delivering outstanding results.

What will you do?

You will be responsible for sourcing information and helping to manage and maintain data within our bespoke back-end systems including:

  • Sourcing, entering and maintaining customer and supplier prices
  • Sourcing and updating monthly fuel surcharge prices
  • Completing comparisons with competitors
  • Ensuring that jobs are priced correctly prior to invoicing
  • Ensuring that invoices received from suppliers are correct ready for payment
  • Supporting the sales and customer service team with pricing and charges for customers
  • Supporting the Schedule Data Administration Assistant to maintain ferry company schedules where required
