Seatruck Freight Ferries Launch New Bristol-Dublin Route
Last month we reported on the development of the new M6 link road to Heysham which will reduce travel time for HGVs. Seatruck have now started a weekend service from Bristol to Dublin connecting UK car manufacturers with Ireland, without the need for a UK trunk road network.
The R Class Clipper Ranger with a 65 unit capacity is transporting vehicles for a well known car manufacturer during the weekend when the vessel would usually be unused.
CEO of Seatruck Ferries Alistair Eagles says
"I have absolutely no doubt that Seatruck has the correct business model. Customers appreciate our friendly freight only model. It helps them with their driver shortage issues, it
reduces road mileage and it provides real independent choice. Bristol is a good example of how some different ‘Seatruck’ thinking can lead to new opportunities.”
As one of our ferry operator partners we are excited to see that Seatruck are thinking 'out of the box'.
Mark Stephens, Director at Freightlink says
"This once again demonstrates Seatruck Ferries ability to flex quickly with the marketplace and provide a bespoke service for the movement of trade cars into Ireland."
It's a great year for Seatruck Ferries so far with a finalist nomination for the Lloyd's List Global Awards next month adding to their success.
Best of luck to the Seatruck team.
