Condor Ferries Booking Guide

Requirements

There are specific requirements for making freight bookings with Condor Ferries on their Jersey and Guernsey ferry routes.

The Condor Ferries freight booking office is open 08.30 - 17.00, Monday to Friday. It is closed Saturday and Sunday. If you place a booking after 17.00 on Friday, we cannot organise the booking until Monday.

Re-Introduction of Requirement for PCR Tests

Jersey

  • If your vehicle is larger than a van, please ensure it has freight lashing points.
  • If your vehicle is wider than 2.4 metres or 16.5 metres long, you must book directly with Condor Ferries
  • Please contact Jersey Customs on 01534 448088 or email customs.rgc@gov.je to clarify if customs clearance is required.
  • The driver(s) must have a valid photo ID
  • All ADR and livestock bookings need to made with the operator directly. For hazardous goods, the customer must notify Condor Ferries by 17.00 the previous day for AM departures and by 13.30 the same day for PM departures
  • If you have an oversized vehicle (longer than 10 metres), you must apply for a permit
  • It is unlawful for any contractor to enter Jersey without a permit to work. The cost of permits is dependent on the duration of stay and can range from £58.00 for short term to over £300.00 for longer term stays. This process can take three weeks

Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive a consignment note (download example) via email. Please fill in either one or both pages (for a round trip) and send it back to us at bookings@freightlink.co.uk.

  • Please ensure you include all required addresses, as well as load and driver(s) details
  • Check-in no later than 90 minutes before departure

Guernsey

  • If your vehicle is larger than a van, please ensure it has freight lashing points

  • Please contact Guernsey Customs to clarify if customs clearance is required
  • The driver(s) must have a valid photo ID

The employer is required to call Guernsey Population Management on 01481-225790 and disclose the details pertaining to the employment of their business in the Bailiwick Islands of Guernsey, Alderney, Sark and Herm. This can take several days
  • The latest Covid-19 protocols regarding travel and testing are available on the Guernsey government website

Cancellation charges apply on Condor Ferries routes:

  • For bookings cancelled and re-booked within 24 hours: £25/€30
  • For bookings cancelled less than 48 hours but more than 12 hours before departure: £25/€30
  • For bookings cancelled less than 12 hours before departure: 100%
