Kirkwall ferry port is the capital of the Orkney Islands, of the northern coast of Scotland. It is on the northern coast of Mainland Orkney and from here freight ferries run to Aberdeen and Lerwick on Shetland. Ferries are operated by Northlink Ferries.

Although Aberdeen to Kirkwall is the main ferry route for freight crossings to Orkney, you can also travel on the Scrabster to Stromness route. The ferry terminal at Kirkwall is modern and has a lounge and toilet facilities.
