We would like to inform you that the requirement to present a Logistics Envelope (ELO) for ALL freight vehicles travelling on Channel routes will be mandatory on 20th April 2026.
The exact time of implementation will be communicated to you as soon as possible. Although the ELO does not become mandatory until the 20th April, we would like to recommend that you adapt to using the ELO as soon as possible, benefits of doing this are:
- Familiarise yourselves with the details required to support the ELO declaration.
- Provide drivers with the understanding of the requirements when they arrive at the ports of departure.
- Allow drivers to be familiarised with the new documentation.
In this context, an upgrade of the ELO application is currently being rolled out. All the necessary features will be fully operational by 20 April 2026 to ensure a smooth transition to this new system.
We would like to remind you that ALL freight vehicles (accompanied and unaccompanied) are affected, including:
- empty vehicles
- vehicles transporting empty packaging,
- vehicles transporting postal cargo.
Furthermore, we would like to remind you that ENS filed in ICS2 must be integrated into ELO.
In this regard, we would like to draw your attention to the need to anticipate the submission of ENS in ICS2 to allow their integration into ELO and the creation of the ELO barcode, which is essential for crossing the Smart Border.
It is important to note that without a valid ELO, we will not be able to register your loads for shipment.
