The Öresund Bridge is the longest combined road and rail bridge in Europe, connecting Copenhagen in Denmark and Malmö in Sweden. The bridge is a road and rail link consisting of a bridge, an artificial island and a tunnel.
The 8 km bridge runs from the Swedish coast out to the man-made island of Peberholm, built to enable traffic to pass from the bridge to the tunnel. From Peberholm, the tunnel is 4km long linking to the Danish island of Amager.
If you are travelling from Germany then a combined ferry & bridge ticket can be purchased for the Puttgarden to Malmo and Rostock to Malmo routes.
