Lochmaddy

Lochmaddy freight ferry services to the Isle of Skye.

Lochmaddy ferry port is in the only settlement on the east coast of North Uist, and means “Loch of the Hounds” in Gaelic. North Uist is in the Outer Hebrides, and is largely covered in water. Lochmaddy is the main settlement on the island and from here you can catch freight ferries to Uig on the Isle of Skye.

At the port of Lochmaddy there is a waiting room with toilet facilities and shops and refreshment places are available in the village itself.
