DFDS is launching a weekly freight service connecting Spain and the Netherlands, aimed at serving the needs of industrial customers, freight forwarders and project cargo owners.
Starting from the end of May, the new route will connect the ports of Vilagarcía and Rotterdam, offering a seamless and direct ferry link from southern to central Europe. With the new service, DFDS offers a competitive alternative to road transport to meet demand for freight transportation within Europe.
The route is fit for any type of cargo, equipment or unit loads, including heavy, special and project cargo. This makes it ideal for businesses in the process industries, automotive, oil, wind, waste-to-energy, paper, forestry, shipping, battery and FMCG.
The route is integrated with DFDS network, enabling efficient transport not just between the Netherlands and Iberia, but also to the UK, Scandinavia and elsewhere in Western, Eastern and Southern Europe.
Additionally, the route cuts down on road transport to not only increase efficiency, but also reduce CO2 emissions.
