Please be advised from 12th September 2022 through to 13th January 2023 the A249 entry/exit slip-roads will be closed to Coastbound traffic.

Please see below link highlighting the works that are to be carried out as part of the new junction 5 layout. For traffic coming from M25/M2, a possible solution would be to use M25/M20 route instead.

During this time, the Port will remain accessible and a fully signed posted diversion route will be in place using the A250 to re-join the A249 at Queenborough for southbound traffic, and vice versa for northbound traffic.
