DFDS have been operating ferries from Immingham since 1992, and the route network means that Immingham is the busiest freight ferry port on the east coast of England.

Due to restrictions enforced by UK Border Force, The Port of Immingham now only accepts Freight vehicles and so specialises in the transport of heavy units and much unaccompanied freight. DFDS Seaways offer ferries from Immingham to Brevik, Esbjerg, Gothenburg, Cuxhaven and to Rotterdam.

Facilities available at the port are limited, but there are many industry relevant businesses located very near to the port.

Immingham Lorry park is 5 minutes from the ferry port, offering toilet and shower facilities for a reasonable price.

Additionally, Ulceby Truckstop is also only a 10 minute drive away.
