As part of a DFDS Eastern Channel customer focus initiative, DFDS have identified a way in which the freight drivers check in experience can be improved, therefore enhancing the speed of check in.
DFDS have highlighted that some drivers need assistance with providing the required information to check in. This has prompted the creation of a templated driver information wipe board.
On a trial basis each driver will be issued, in Dover, with a reusable DFDS wipe board and dry marker pen.
DFDS requests that drivers complete the details, as listed below, prior to arrival and present the wipe board along with their passport and fully completed CMR/DGNs where applicable on arrival at check in, thus saving valuable time.
The reverse of the A5 board displays the DFDS logo so it can be used in the truck windscreen to identify that the driver intends to ship with DFDS upon approach the the ports.
