DFDS have a further update regarding the strikes in France;

Due to the disruption caused by the French authorities, we continue to experience extended waiting times and high volumes of freight traffic in Calais ad Dunkerque. To keep you advised of the ongoing situation we will continue to post updates on our Twitter and the Freight Ferry Alerts App.

Dunkerque

There are currently checks in and out of the port with extended queues. Queues on motorway between Grande-Synthe and Loon-plage. Freight traffic is stopped on the motorway (A16) by the police between Belgium and France, and Dunkerque and Calais. Current Check-in 18:00 Dunkerque - Dover.

Calais

The customs controls are normal for import and export in Calais port currently, however deviation is still in place. Freight traffic is busy with extended waiting times. Current check-in time: 13:50 Calais - Dover

Dover

DFDS Dover - Calais services are operating to the advertised refit schedule.

DFDS Dover - Dunkerque services are operating with delays of up to one hour of the advertised schedule

Port status: Freight traffic is currently free flowing.
