DFDS are pleased to confirm that the refit program for the Dunkerque vessels is progressing as planned and they look forward to welcoming all three vessels back into service commencing Wednesday 7th February 2018.

The second phase will be the Calais vessels, which will be undertaken during February 2018.

DFDS would also like to take the opportunity to advise that work is currently being undertaken to improve the security in and around the port of Dunkerque.

• As a deterrent there is a higher presence of police outside the Port of Dunkerque
• There are additional security searches and patrols undertaken by the French army
• Work is underway for a new buffer zone located at the entrance of the Port
• The approach to the check-in booths will be more secure with fences and CCTV
