Mission Christmas LUV Preston

Freightlink Supports Mission Christmas & LUV Preston

This Christmas, the Freightlink team are proud to be supporting both Cash for Kids Mission Christmas, a Rock FM appeal and Luv Preston, a food bank charity, which help the homeless and in need in Preston.

Cash for Kids Mission Christmas

"Our new friend Reliant the Robin is out and about pointing Santa to all of the children at risk of waking up to nothing on Christmas morning - but we need your help!"

Cash for Kids Mission Christmas asks for present donations for children who might not receive anything this Christmas. They are particularly keen for items for babies and teenagers as they don't receive as many donations for those age groups. For example, toiletries, colouring books, puzzles, socks and gloves. Gifts are sorted by the Cash for Kids team and volunteers. The gifts are signed for and collected by the organisation who have applied on behalf of the children they work with. The organisation then wrap and distribute the gifts to the children they are supporting.

LUV Preston

"Our team of volunteers home deliver food parcels weekly to those in need of emergency food provisions and work with people to refer them to other support and to help them find longer term sustainable solutions."

LUV Preston is a local charity which aims to love and serve the city of Preston by providing care and support to those who find themselves disadvantaged and disconnected in the community. They are particularly looking for non-preishable foods such as tins of vegetables, meat and fish and packets of rice, pasta and biscuits as well as tea, coffee and cordial. Their volunteers deliver food to the homes of those in need of emergency food provisions and are actively welcoming donations from individuals and organisations.

We really value the ability to support our local causes and hope to make a difference to those that need it most this Christmas.
