If you’re moving goods into the EU from Great Britain, most goods will already be covered by an export declaration containing safety and security information. If the goods you’re moving are not covered by a full export declaration containing safety and security data, or you’re moving empty pallets, containers or vehicles under a transport contract, you may need to submit a separate Exit Summary (EXS) declaration.

Separate safety and security EXS declarations will be required from 1 October 2021. You can find out when and how to make an EXS declaration on the GOV.UK website.

Fulfilling Safety & Security requirements is a Seatruck condition of carriage. Note that there will be no changes to check-in at Liverpool or Heysham for our Dublin routes until GVMS is in place.
