The surrounding circumstances with war in Europe have led to extreme market situations with a highly fluctuating and unpredictable oil price. In 2020 Tallink Cargo included the separate BAF into meter prices, and so it has been since then. But the surrounding circumstances have led to unpredictable fluctuations in fuel prices, thus it was decided by the Board of Management to implement a temporary BAF to protect from extreme raise in costs.

The temporary BAF surcharge is valid from 1st April 2022 to 31st August 2022 and will enter into force ONLY if the BRENT oil average price exceeds 120 USD/bbl.
