Tallink Silja Line is a Finnish Estonian shipping line formed from the merger of two existing companies – Tallink and Silja Lines. Tallink was founded as a Finnish Soviet joint venture in 1989, originally intended to transport passengers on a ferry between Helsinki and Tallinn. Silja Lines dated back to the 1900s with a ferry route between Turku and Stockholm being launched in 1918 and a ferry route between Helsinki and Stockholm following shortly after.
Tallink Silja Lines now operate 20 ferries across a number of Baltic Sea ferry routes connecting Finland to Sweden, Estonia to Finland, Latvia to Sweden and Sweden to Estonia with high levels of service and frequent departures including up to 7 sailings a day in each direction on the Tallinn to Helsinki route.
Tallink Silja ferries are amongst the most advanced cruise ferries on the Baltic Sea. Regardless of whether you travel from Stockholm to Turku, Paldiski to Kapellskar, Helsinki to Tallinn or on any other Tallink Silja Lines ferry route you will enjoy comfortable cabins, bars and restaurants and a range of entertainment.
