This week, the government has made significant changes to the way motorists are fined for speeding.
For drivers who exceed the speed limit by a few miles per hour, nothing significant will change. However, the worst offenders will see substantial increases in fines.
Drivers caught massively exceeding the limit will see a penalty increase starting at 150%, based on the driver's weekly income.
The maximum fine for breaking the speed limit remains the same at £1000, or £2500 if driving on a motorway.
Truck drivers, stay within the speed limit and drive safely.
Passenger Cars and Motorhomes cannot travel on our freight ferry services. If you are travelling by van, please choose the relevant 'Van' option from the dropdown Vehicle menu.
